About Mia

Some brands start with a business plan. Mia started with a problem only a mother would notice.
Searching for clothes for her own two children, Mai Ebrahim kept coming up empty. The cute pieces fell apart in the wash. The well-made ones were dull. Nothing offered both the joy and the quality her kids deserved — so in 2020, in Alexandria, Egypt, she decided to make it herself. She named it Mia — the closest thing to her own name, Mai, because she poured just as much of herself into it. Her first and most honest critics? Her own two children, who became Mia’s very first test models.
An artist at heart, a perfectionist by nature.
Mai’s background has always been in art, and to this day she designs most of Mia’s pieces herself. She is gloriously, unapologetically picky — about fabrics, prints, stitching, finishing, every last detail. If it isn’t right, it doesn’t carry the Mia name. That eye is the reason a Mia piece looks and feels the way it does.
Made for play. Made to last.
We know how children live — running, jumping, falling, and getting beautifully messy. And we know the quiet fear every parent shares at the wash: will it shrink? will the colors fade? will it survive? Mia is built to answer that fear with confidence. We use 100% Egyptian cotton, premium finishing, and prints designed to stay vivid wash after wash. So your child can play hard and get gloriously dirty — and you can wash without a second thought.
Something for every age, every moment.
From newborn (6 months) all the way to age 20, Mia dresses childhood at every stage. Our signature soft sets sit alongside dresses, tops, bottoms, jumpsuits, and denim outerwear — and from time to time, cozy homewear for the grown-ups too. Stylish enough to turn heads, soft enough to live in.
A family of brands, one standard.
Today Mia is more than a single label. Under its umbrella sits a family of brands — the pillars that hold everything up — brought to life by a team of 150 people who share Mai’s devotion to getting every detail right.
The dream behind it all.
Mai dreams of seeing Mia everywhere in the world. But ask her what she truly wants, and it isn’t about reach. It’s about trust — mothers who hand their children’s comfort to Mia with their whole hearts, and little ones dressed head to toe in clothes made with love.

From a mother, to a mother. A name born from her own, a brand built from her heart. That’s where Mia began — and it’s everything Mia is still about
